Choosing from our Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi turns every home into a small pandal, and this collection covers both sides of the festival: permanent Ganesha murtis for the home altar — brass with gemstones, antique ivory finishes, hand-carved wood — and gift-sized idols for visiting family and friends during the ten days.
Remember the distinction: visarjan (immersion) idols should be unbaked clay that dissolves in water; brass and wooden Ganeshas are for the permanent home altar. Many families keep both — clay for immersion, brass for the mandir. Order at least a week before the festival; handmade stock runs out in the final days.
Eco-friendly immersion, honestly
We should say this plainly since it affects what to buy: we don't sell the unbaked clay idols meant for eco-friendly visarjan, because that's a genuinely different material and process from brass or wood casting. If immersion is part of your family's practice, source a clay Ganesha separately for that purpose, and treat anything from us as the murti that stays — not the one that dissolves.
After the festival
For a brass or wood Ganesha, nothing changes after the ten days end — it simply moves from festival prominence into regular worship rotation in the home mandir, the same as any other idol. There's no ritual requirement to retire or replace it.
