Description
These seven figures aren't modeled on any single tribe — they're a composite of postures common across African wood-carving traditions: a drummer, a hunter, a mother with child, a dancer mid-turn. What makes a set like this work as décor rather than clutter is variation in scale and stance; line them up by height on a console and the eye reads it as a procession, not a row of identical statues.
Each piece is cut and shaped from a single block of dark-toned wood, so the grain and weight differ slightly figure to figure — expected in hand carving, not a flaw.
